Off and Running!
Wow! We hit the halls at Brownwood High School running and have not slowed down since! Mrs. Cummings and I have been adding lots of new fiction books and graphic novels. Stop by to see what we have.
We also have lots of books to giveaway! Come by and look through our selection before they are all gone!
Now that we have issued laptops to all the students and zipped the freshmen through a fast training, our students are doing some great things with their MacBooks!

Graduation Looms
How has the year gone by so quickly! OK, guys and girls, it's time to start thinking about turning in your books, calculators and anything else that you have borrowed from the library!
Remember to check your Destiny account to see what you need to return. If you can't remember how, come up to the library and we will walk you through it.
All items are due Monday, May 17, 2010. If you still need your calculator or a book or two to finish up that last minute project, just stop in and let us know.
Interested in summer reading suggestions? Come by!

Research is Going Strong!
Our Spring research classes and projects are underway and picking up speed! Mrs. Cummings and I have done so many tutorials already and we start a new group on Monday!
Remember, if you need extra time in the library after hours, just stop by and visit with me. I will be glad to stay open when I can.
The middle of April is our Texas Library Convention in San Antonio and I can hardly wait to attend. I always come back to school so inspired with new ideas and lots of new books!

Spring Break is Over
Our first major TAKS test is over and research is starting full swing. It will be interesting this year to see how the computers play in all of this!

We have new books arriving any day, so be the first in line to check out some of the newest off the Best Books for Young Adults list.

As in the words of a friend who has dubbed us the 'sky pad,' come up to the Sky Pad and see the latest. We've done some re-arranging to make room for the growing number of graphic novels and young adult fiction.
Stop by when you have a chance and check out our latest display--fangs vs fur. Where would be be without the age-old battles of vampires and werewolves? The hardest part is deciding which book to read first!
We'll be doing a books to movies display soon. Stop by and 'check it out!'
If you have any suggestions for displays or requests for new books, just let Mrs. Cummings or me know.

New Books and Research Schedules
We have tons of new books. Come by to see the latest from the list of Best Books for Young Adults. Also, check out the TV monitors in the student center to see what the top 10 reads are for our library.
